Information about your organisation


An SME is any organisation that has fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than €50 million or a balance sheet total less than €43 million.
Are there any disabilities that cannot be accommodated in your organisation? For example, if your office is in a historic building and does not have wheelchair access.
Additional special requirements such as DBS Check, Medical Screening etc.
Only businesses in their first year of trading, Charities, CICs and Not for Profit organisations are eligible for 100% funding.

Project Details - Guidance


Some organisations take more than one student/graduate and will require successful candidates to work on different projects. Consequently, on the form, there are three sections to propose three separate projects. Organisations can also choose to recruit up to 5 students working on the same project dependant on availability of funding.

Remote Working

Traineeships/internships hosted on company premises or on a hybrid basis are preferable, however, fully remote opportunities will be considered. Should you wish to offer a remote opportunity, we would expect the trainee to:

  • experience your workplace culture 
  • be invited to Teams/Zoom calls and meetings
  • have regular check-ins with key members of staff
  • be offered learning opportunities/work-shadowing/activities which supports their development
  • have a structured traineeship/internship with expectations clearly outlined

In the UK, employers must have a written health and safety policy if they employ five or more people. If they employ fewer than five, they still need a health and safety policy, but it doesn’t have to be written down.
